Hi guys. After getting my newly purchased SE rear ended about a month ago, I have purchased another NB. decided to go naturally aspirated this time since I still have a year to go on my prohbationary license and I'm on 1 demerit point for that perioid

I purchased her from a guy in Brighton and this is how it looks at the moment,





Plenty more to be updated with. Already bought new wheels as these aren't my taste (don't plan to take it to the track, mainly just for cruising) and the seats will be soon replaced with SE seats.

Will you be keeping this one long term or will it be replaced with another SE down the track?

As for the wheels, I think the Kermit green goes quite well with the black body, just need to colour match the roll-bar!
Hmmmm.... I wonder if you could also get green side reflectors and indicators.....

What else is 'non-standard' about this one?
What else are you planning to do?

this car has done around the 160.000 mark. Its a 2001 model.
and planning on keeping this one atleast till I get my full license, so atleast another year. And yeah it does look good in its own style and is unique if I do say so myself, but I have already purchased another set which I will show you guys hopefully next week.

The previous owner did install a catback exhaust, roll bar, anti-sway bars and bigger brakes. Also a touch screen audio system in the dash. Other then that and the fire extinguisher it is stock. (the list of mods the previous owner did makes me think he tracked it quite regurlary, even though he denied it when i questioned him)
so far on my to-do list are as follows:
- coilovers
- CAI
- wheels
thats it for now as I haven't had time to drive it that much due to work requirements but once I get the feel for it i'm sure plenty more mods will be incoming.

haha yeah the black was certainly a seller, the velocity red of my previous SE was good but a bit too "out there" for me, hence why I am changing the wheels for this one. I prefer the stealthy look, non police attracting look.

yeah that's the one. easy to pick out lol




So the seats were in quite bad condition as you can see....




so I replaced them with SE seats which I kept when I sold the vehicle. straight bolt on with no headaches! except for a very stubborn bolt.

next on the list is replacing the rims. will probably be updating this tomorrow or on the sunday. see you then

so, a package came yesterday. Very happy with the final result. the end needs to be a little lower in my opinion. next on the list are some yellow speed coilovers.

I would have preferred bronze rims but they don't look too bad, kudos for not going all-out "murdered-black".

While rim colour is a personal preference thing, I think if you've got great rims you want them to be seen; black rims can only be seen up real close since they "disappear" into the blackness of the wheel arch and tyre.

The rear height looks good to me, ideally you want the rears to be 0.5" higher than the front for optimum handling - Mazda designed it that way and FM recommend it.

Also, if you've still got the original rims, consider painting them red and throwing them back on the car at some time, there's a couple of pictures on the forum of red rims on black cars which look pretty "schmick". Be wary of using red plasti-dip though, it will leave a pink hue when you remove it.

nope it's not permitted. But how many cops know about SE's anyway. the turbo is hidden and was planning to buy a grille to hide the intercooler but didn't have it long enough to do that lol.

you cant drive an SE but your permitted to drive a Golf R32 which does 0-100 in 6.2 seconds.. logic = 0

Nice car man, I was meant to inspect this one but on the day the seller contacted me and told me that it was sold! The new wheels look great on the car, perfect set up IMO.
