Victoria Megasquirt tuners!

Postby Mr nanotech » Thu Dec 12, 2013 8:47 pm

dríven to my house and tune my car. I'm at my wits end with it and just want it running. I'm at the stage of putting stock management back in almost (if not for not knowing how to wire it back in etc).
Just want to drive the mx5 again and so sick of it sitting in the garage doing nothing.
It currently doesn't run and endlessly turns over without start.

Has DIYPNP2, LC-1 wideband, GM IAT sensor.

Massively cannot be bothered learning a new skill anymore and can't afford to trailer it to a dyno. Let me know what it's worth for you to come out this way to Geelong and do this.

Hi,

If you are still willing to try to get it happening yourself, you might like to check these simple things:

- Checked you have connected the MAP line to your inlet manifold ?
- Removed the 10A 'ST SIGN' fuse from the fusebox ?
- Checked your laptop talks to the MS ?
- Uploaded a fresh copy of a base map for your MX-5 to the MS ?
- Calibrated your O2 sensor ?
- Wired the O2 sensor into your car's wiring harness ?

The stock AFM will still work with the MS, so I'd swap it back in to eliminate any possible problems with the GM one. If you can get the car running you can go back to the GM one.

Ah it's ok now. I got the car running but I'm putting stock management now as my turbo build is going to be postponed for quite some time. Thought about it and figured I'm selling my daily and I've got another car coming in January so the mx5 needs to be reliable enough to daily until the new car gets on the road.
I'll have all the gear tomorrow morning to have the car running on stock ecu again so I'll spend the morning putting it back to OEM again. Right now it's a bit over kill running MS with a stock unmodified engine. I had it on for the supercharger but now I'm back to n/a there isn't much point using MS until I need it again down the line.

Yeh, sorry mate. After I posted my response I read your other post where you described what you were doing, so my comments weren't much help.

Glad it's running & you are moving forward.

Answer is to spend money and have the job done properly either an adaptronic piggyback with standard ecu or for standalone motec, autronic, haltech. Otherwise I'm tipping you'll continually be having problems and will probably end up spending more money than they will have cost you up front
