Actually great! Couple of uses of it now. Only issue is the remote, already taken one back for replacement and the other gave up the ghost too. But seems to be an issue with using the battery up straight away.

But picture quality is superb, sound good. Better than my $450 RadCam! Only issue - avi, so needs conversion for imovie. But plenty of software - some free - for converting. I will post some when I can, no time no time !


edit.... I am going to use it as the main forward camera and the radcam as the rear.

The Jaycar camera is on sale at the moment, too. $119. You could get a few for the same price as one Hero 3. Does it have an input for an external mic?

Tempting might get another....

No external mic, no. I will try to post some footage...but no promises , a little crazy busy right now.
