Hi guys,
Have had a good look around the forum but don't seem to be able to find any specific threads that relate to my question. I have a 1989 Eunos Roadster that's used on the track only, and it's getting pretty battered looking around the edges, as anyone who has seen my car recently would attest The worst part on the car is the front nose cone, which is the original plastic part. Ideally I'd like to find a new fibreglass nose, as the existing nose will need a fair bit of work to clean it up and get it straight again, but am struggling to find a suitable replacement. It seems easy enough to find good quality replacement guards etc but much harder to find an NA nose. I've seen the Carmate ones which look OK in the photos but my research has turned up a lot of worrying comments about quality and customer service. If anyone has suggestions on where I could source one (locally in Oz and Sydney would be ideal) or any feedback on the Carmate parts, it would be much appreciated
Replacement fibreglass nose cone for NA?

Are you after an OEM one or something with a different look?

Hi Jeo, don't particularly mind but would prefer something close to OEM - the Carmate "CM Style" looks pretty close:

I've read elsewhere this bar has been used on Prod Sports NA's and is 2F legal which is ideal
Thanks

I'll admit that I've never actually looked for one but I'd have thought a used OEM bumper would be pretty easy to come by? I'm sure some of the Sydney members would have one lying around, and if not, there's always wreckers or probably even Mania.

If your car is a track bitch stick with an original nose...if you nudge the wall or another car it will flex and pop back in to shape. A fibreglass part will not flex and will shatter.

Re: Replacement fibreglass nose cone for NA?
Excellent point Deviant - I must admit I didn't think of the advantage of the flexible nose, and was probably fixating on getting a shiny new fibreglass one
Fortunately I've never had a nudge on the track - but I'm sure it will happen eventually
I'll post up a WTB in the parts forum and see what crops up.
Cheers
