ok, so i've had my SE for about a year now. After the first three months i wanted more boost so i got a turbosmart boost tee and started slowly winding it up. everything was going fine until that first sh*t my pants moment when i discovered the factury ECU's 10 psi fuel cut. so i just turned it down to 9 psi and went on with my life. now im bored and thinking of fuel cut defenders to solve this problem.
Just wondering if anybody has any experience with these. i have a turbosmart electric FCD lying around and just want to know if its wise to use one of these. im aiming for around the 12psi mark and would rather not go in blind.

ECI is the number one upgrade on an SE after intake and exhaust (mostly the downpipe and cat and rear muffler... so most of the exhaust.)

+1 to the above comments - don't waste your time with workaround/bandaid gizmos, do it right with an aftermarket ECU.

Yea thanks guys,
After a fair bit more study im starting to come to the same conclusion. Guess i better start saving my pennies.
Now i've just gotta decide between adaptronic or megasquirt pnp. So much late night googling.

Definitely Adaptronic, great support from Andy and a fair few tuners. Simple UI too, easy to get around.
Go a mega squirt if your a bit more comfortable tuning it yourself with some dyno time.
Most ECU's do the same things now anyway, have provisions for boost control, E85 flex sensors, scaling ignition/injector trims etc.
Most if not all, have plug and play looks available.
A lot better than splashing out on a stand alone boost controller + piggy back + time spent getting them to work and wiring them up.

Re: SE Fuel Cut Defenders Info?????
When I last spoke to Matt Cramer (DIYAutoTune) in October, he said the MSM/SE MSPNP (MS3-Pro) will be ready by the end of 2013.
No news since. It's been a long time coming anyway.
I've spent all of my car modding budget (self imposed ) this year anyway haha

Re: SE Fuel Cut Defenders Info?????
I think I'm gonna go for the adaptronic simply because of the support available. I have absolutely zero experience with ecu tuning. Heck the only dyno I've ever seen was the one at TAFE.
But I really wanna give it a go. I'm sure with a bit of study and perseverance I'll figure it out. If not help won't be too far away.
