Do you not understand what 'legitimise' means?

Hi guys, Thanks for all the advice.
As per do I have witnesses, Yes, And turned there names and phone numbers into the Police.
Yes The police called him straight away and yes he admitted to "Thinking he just bumped the curb"
(Not clear how he backed straight and hit a curb).
He did admit to doing the damage at my home, And wanted estimates before agreeing to pay and or turn it in to his insurance.
I thought, Fine, a couple days won't kill me, but of course I do want it fixed.
The Damage appears to be very minor. A new Number plate and the touch up guy should do it.
I guess that's where I came up with the 400 bucks.
I will be getting estimates tomorrow and Tuesday. At that point I will decide if I turn it in to my insurance or not.
As per my comment on Tattoos. I walked into the Police station wearing my work Shirt.
(Harley emblems and such all over it)
Not only Tat's on both arms, But Harley Tat's.
They treated me fine and I was a bit surprised for that.
I treated them with respect, and they in turn treated me with respect.
So, Hopefully soon I'll get the paint scratches repaired.
As per not wanting to turn it in to the insurance Company. If the Damage is that minimal.
Why have a claim on my record.

Since you've made a police report and there are witnesses, your insurance won't be affected.

All over. The guy paid up, My paint is repaired and new Number plates on order.
Just a bit of stuffing around getting estimates. But in the end he did pay up.
And yes was just about 400 bucks all up.

I will call them in the morning.
No, the damage isn't that bad. And yes I think the touch up guy could fix the paint.
Do I think the cops should be so nice to this guy?
Well, He's not tattooed like I am.
I will need a new number plate, And the paint will never be factory ever again.
Was asking for enough to cover this to Much?

Id go with insurance too. Why get a touch up guy when you can get a proper spray job for free!

oops too late!!
