Which vacuum line for Megasquirt DIYPNP

Postby McOz » Sat Dec 07, 2013 7:47 pm

I'm running through the procedure for installing the Megasquirt DIYPNP and I can see that I need to attach a vacuum line. On the http://www.mx5unleashed.com/tech/megasquirt-pnp.html guide is says:

After that the vacuum line, I have another pipe added to the intake plenum but you can put a "T" on the vacuum line going to the cruise control, the other one goes to the carbon canister and there is a switch that switches on and off which would produce pulses in your signal.

And provides a nice image:

Attached is a pic from under my hood. Obviously I don't have the extra pipe, so should I 'T' off the line that is there (1), or can I hook directly to the plugged line (2)?

Just go off the plugged #2 port.

You get a less noisy signal if you get a T-Piece like this

and then get your feed from the Fuel Pressure Regulator port at the rear of the manifold but that is no big deal.

Appreciate the response, cheers.

Just to confirm, port 2 isn't switched are won't produce pulses in my signal?

that switches on and off which would produce pulses in your signal.
