^Incident#2

Incidents like that are where an air horn comes in handy, I've blasted mine on a few occasions when I see it coming - freaks the sh*t out of them since they assume it's coming from a much larger car and they veer away sharply.

I see you're a fellow child of the 80's too :P

Agreed.

Stebel GP2 on the MX5, and GP3 on the kingswood.

Loud as all hell and makes them sh*t thinking they're about to be crushed under a truck.

Get a quote. Tell the Transit driver he's either paying in cash, including for your inconvenience, and for a loan car etc etc, or is being reported for having no insurance.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

Sadly, this one is just normal driving in and around Melbourne. Did he go into the furthest left lane in the end?

Incident #1, Take it to the Police and ask them for an interpretation of the road rules regarding stop signs.
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

If you are comprehensively insured it doesn't matter if he isn't. Just lodge a not at fault claim with your insurer and let them handle it. If you only have third party insurance check your policy or call them and ask if you have "uninsured motorist extension" or similar, which covers you for a few thousand dollars if not at fault and hit by an uninsured motorist. Alternatively google "letter of demand"
And send that to them. This often scares people into paying for your repairs. If not, he would need to be sued, which is obviously not a good road to go down

I've just returned from Werribee police station. They couldn't have been less interested if they tried.

Sorry to hear Miles - as you say that's what he claims - run it by your insurance company as they may be able to ascertain whether he is insured, & if so a claim could be made against his insurance.

It doesn't matter if he is insured or not. Refer my last post

It's not worth making a claim on my insurance, as replacement of the vinyl wrap on my front bumper isn't covered. I phoned them this morning and checked. So I'd be paying out c.$100 for that myself.

And I honestly can't be bothered sending letters of demand.

Any idea on how much for everything else? As in the repairs without the wrap?
