hey guys ,
you may have seen my previous thread about my 91 na6 not starting , im wondering if anyone in adelaide could help me out , my car gets fuel spark and air but still wont start and the only thing i czn really think of that i havent looked into is the ecu. so wht im asking is could someone loan me their ecu just to try and start my baby to see if she will fire up before i got blurting a bunch of money on a replacement as i cant really afford it if its not the issue and whilst i used to be in the local car scene a few years back i dont do that kinda stuff anymore and actually dont know anyone at all with a mx5 that could help me out!!
so if you can help i will compensate you in any means you feel necessary!
thanks in advance charlie!

How did you go borrowing an NA6 ECU? In case you haven't been able to borrow one & are not aware, you can buy a second hand NA6 ECU for under $50 on this forum. I know it would be better to borrow one, but if not possible then there are cheap ones out there. And they are occasionally a problem in NA6s & NA8s, so def worth considering as a cause. Sometimes a visual inspection of the ECU printed circuit board will reveal a problem as the board or earth post can show signs of blackening or discolouration, often a brown colour, from leaking capacitors.

Hey mate. If you're still stick, send me a pm. I'm in adel and have a stock na6 ECU you can try, as well as a aftermarket ECU connected to a stock loom that we can use for diagnostic purposes.
