Boot Rack for Mk 1 MX-5

Postby Simon0108 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 4:12 pm

Hey guys

I'm going on a trip early December, and I really want to take my NA6. But I'll need a bit more storage space to pack everything, so does anyone have a second hand boot rack that they want to sell, or know where I could get one for a cheap-ish price?

I've found some on mx5mania, but they're close to $400, and I only really want to spend around $150 or less.

Cheers
Simon

Buying it from the UK will probably be cheaper than buying in Australia - and that includes postage. I have one of these and it's brilliant! Rack on ebay UK.

Thanks for your reply. But that boot rack only posts to the UK. With others, I've messaged the seller asking the cost to post to Australia, and the postage was 98 GBP, which is around $168, which is usually over 1.5 times the cost of the boot rack itself.

Thanks for that Juffa, that forum was an interesting read. It may work if i put the spare tyre behind the passenger seat. Assuming I can, because I can't slide my passenger seat anymore, since I put a fire extinguisher in the passenger footwell, for the track.
