I am taken with the idea of mounting a 7in android tablet in the tombstone to use as a multi function display, AFR, boost temp, pressure etc. Has anyone done this? any easy ways of doing it? Any suggestions or links for more info?

Re: Tablet display?
I started but never finished.
Was using a 7" Dell streak, everything was automated with Tasker, external GPS receiver to do lap timing, and was looking at external BT sender from my Autronic ECU to do the data logging. Had the first three points working, then got bored making the dash around it.

Re: Tablet display?
I've been using my Nexus 7 (2012) with my Megasquirt via Bluetooth, works very very well. And so handy
I don't have it permanently mounted though, just sits in one of those windscreen holders.

Re: Tablet display?
MightyCarMods did it with an iPad, although hifi functions only.
It would make more sense to do it with an Android tablet as they're so cheap. Aldi have an 8" tablet for $160 this Saturday, wifi and 3G.
