Thank you for the prompt reponses re the spare wheel.
As I said in that post I have just bought an NC: it is a 2005 model.
I am know planning bleeding the brakes to flush out all old fluid. In the past, when doing this on my Commodore, I have had the ignition off and after cleaning the master cylinder and filling it again, started bleeding from the wheel farthest from the mastercylinder. I progressively got closer to the mastercylinder until all lines were flushed.
Is there something extra that I must watch out for with the NC?

Don't know Helmut. It's all too much stuffing around for me these days. I take mine to ABS. Costs less than $100 for brake and clutch flush including a litre of fluid. They can do it while you read a magazine or watch TV if you book ahead.

Get an squeeze type sauce bottle and remove most of the old fluid from the master cylinder, it will save a lot of time.

I also like to use something to stir up any crap from the bottom of the reservoir, I use a syringe to remove, then add some fresh fluid, stir it up again and remove it before adding fresh fluid.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

You nailed it. That's all that needs to be done. You should be able to do the lot with just a 500ml bottle.

Try to limit the travel on the pedal when bleeding to the normal range.
Pushing the piston into an area that it never goes can damage the seal.
I have a beaut Motive power bleeder that pumps pressure into the system so I just need to open each bleeder and draw off the fluid.

+1 on that tool, Ive used Robs and its easy as!
