I have one, Australian Delivered with factory p/s... but I'll check the books that came with the car to find out if it was fitted later or not, have not seen anything saying otherwise in previous checks.

Does yours also have power antenna ? & perhaps power mirrors? And is red?

No power antenna, no power mirrors and is black

Well.... Been thinking hard.

And it have a dreaded feeling you could be right Stock NA6. Perhaps they did start putting in PS around that time around 92/93

So if that is the case I stand corrected. Perhaps next time I shall use different language. Maybe an old codger can learn new tricks.

Possibly, I know there were some of the later NA6 that were getting the NA8 bits on them (wheels, mirrors) it wouldn't surprise me if some of the later ones also got Power steering while Mazda were tooling up for the NA8.

yes precisely what I was thinking. There was a limited edition in the beginning of 1993 which had power antenna. Cant recall if it had power mirrors.....but good chance it did. May also have had PS.....by the sounds of it the stock NA6 had PS too.

so parhaps I should wash out my mouth with soap and admit that was W...W..Wr......WRONG!!!!!

Lots of grey imports did have . So any AUS delivered NA6 would have had it retrofitted.

In 1993 when the NA8 came out the price jumped from 29.000 to close to $40.000 but it had a bigger motor, bigger brakes, more bracing. Just a much better car.

That photo is also fact and contradicts your fact.

You have a special edition.
And ABS as well.
How about that.

As stated before . I conceded defeat. That's a fact as well.

Sorry STM, I can get a bit snappy after two years of people telling me what I have doesn't exist.

Oh and the car does not have ABS, that was proven just 45mins ago by someone that believes its ok to no check their mirrors and merge into a right turning lane at the last moment through right lane traffic from the middle lane, and I don't believe it is a special edition. It's just a NA6 that was ordered right before the transitional period to the NA8, possibly custom ordered, but they do exist as I have one, and I do drive it down to the weekly meet ups and it was just at the All Mazda Day.

Again sorry for snapping

Yea no worries we all get sand on our vagina occasionally about whatever

Well I just got exited with all those things there wasn't sure. Maybe it needs to say Y beneath it for you to actually have it..like it does under PS.

But there you go.

Mines a 90 or 91, I forget, but it has both AC and power steering. It is a Eunos Roadster, so I think they were higher spec than miatas and mx5s.

I've had this argument many years ago about power steering on NA6s. I even posted a photo of my sticker showing power steering was factory fitted, but people just won't have it....

Mine is a late NA6, white (not a limited edition). I recall reading in Wheels at the time that power steering was now being fitted as standard, ahead of the release of the NA8. The late NA6s (93) also have the toilet bowl logo on the daisy wheel centre caps (instead of "Mazda"). The electric antenna was optional at the time.

Glad there is agreement on the NA6 p/s issue!
