New Tyres Front or Back?

Postby Kimberley » Sun Nov 10, 2013 12:16 am

Hi
Have spent some time searching car forums & they all give me differing opinions & I can't recall what I was told last time I bought tyres. Should the new tyres go on the front wheels & the front ones moved to the back or vice versa? Can anyone recommended a good tyre store in Cairns?

I always put new on front if I can because front wheels do the majority of steering and braking. Unless there is camber wear I'm trying to rotate out.
However prepare for differing opinions.

Im no pro, but every article online that I've read including tyre companies websites say new tyres go on the back whether its FWD or RWD. Also YouTube videos about it.
