Well Sydney's weather over the past few days has been fun in the MX5 with 3rd gear powerslides. Then after sitting in the rain all day at work I opened the boot to see the MX5's water tank feature -.- So out comes everything to dry. Does it come from the back around the rain rail area?

I use Hawk HPS pads front and rear, have done half a dozen track days and general road use. Not harsh on rotors, I don't find them dusty and they pull the car up well when cold also.

And they are cheap, about $150 to your door for a set of front and rear from http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/. A good tip is to play with the number ordrered and get a couple of set for the same shipping price, makes them cheaper again. I ordered 2 sets when I got mine.

Cheers mate, its far from being exciting yet thought. I just haven't had time to spend on the car yet, the roll cage and clutch still haven't been fitted haha. Yes I am running camber, as for how much I couldn't tell you, once the clutch is fitted I will be buying new sticky tyres and getting a full wheel alignment so I will post all that up once it happens.

Started messing around with my shift light idea tonight after I found my old one. Idea is to pull it all apart, extend some of the wiring, and then hide the light inside one of the air vents.

I got a bit more done on the shift light tonight, will hopefully finish it off this week. Just have to wire it up now.

I was originally going to put it in the centre air duct but it didn't fit, so i pulled the drivers door air duct out and test fitted it there succeeding with a much better fit.





Then I extended the light adjustment wiring so I can re-locate the adjuster knob to where the immobilizer light was.

A new addition to the ass of the 5 arrived this week aswell so it wont be looking as boring as this




How it currently sits, so far extreme weight loss has gone well, with the unnecessary items such as the gearbox removed
