that lap looks crazy tim....

Cal - how does that even happen? Is it just a combination of camber and wear? or do the tyres just decide they've had enough?
Cheers,

Looks like a big lockup to me.

For anyone interested, side by side comparison between craptastic yokohama a.drive tyres last round, and federal 595 RSRs this round. Huge difference. Best watched in full screen.

The toe was miles out and wore the tyre badly on the inside. Kuhmos are notorious for delaminating once they have had enough. I'm not buying them again. Over it.

Kumho's?

OMG that's it if you can't get the wear out of them!!

Mine have only done 20,000km road km's and now over 600, yes 600 track laps and still very legal!

But, I will check them as about to order another set of KU36's

Thanks Cal - saw your old 'Darlington Park' posts from 2005 when the track was closing - interesting reading!!

These are V700's. I've got KU36's on my BMW and they have had no such issue. They are nothing like as grippy though.

Link to Darlington Park thread?

How the hell did you find that?

Ah my old mate Edo, always telling it how it is. :)

I was wondering what the layout of Darlington Park looked like having never been there so, a 'google' search and I typed in 'Darlington Park track layout' and that was the lead item

Saw 'Cal' and then reeled when I saw the date!! I used to hear people say it would challenge Bathurst once it was up and running - interesting also to read posts about a 'Kilcoy Track' and Craig Lowndes but further searches have not found anything more on that

The Bathurst comment is drawing a rather lengthy bow! It was a fun place that sadly I only got to experience on a couple of occasions. To rival the mountain, it needed precisely one trillion dollars spent on it.

We used to run at Darlington Park, as did Natmeet '99.

The mountain circuit was never completed, bitumened, unfortunately.

Was a brilliant venue, absolutely loved it. Pity the locals' wrecked it !

And this is the result of driver error

I have all three of those, hence Gary doing the steering this year...... on hang on he's 70 in a few days!

I really really wanted to go to that, but I was at Morgan Park for the IPRA Nationals.
