93 NA6 MX5

Postby greenay » Sun Nov 03, 2013 8:51 pm

Hi guys I recently got my first mx5. It's a 93 model aus delivered na6.
Bought it for a good price with log books and relatively low ks.

I'll jump into the mods done so far.

Yellowspeed DPS Coilivers
Agi 4 pt half cage
Replica Sparco Wheel (previous owner)
Nemoto RS wheels (not installed yet need to get my guards rolled) with 195 50 15 hankook ventus s1 evos
GV front lip
ASI 42mm Radiator (old one was brown as fark)

Plans:
Get the clutch sorted (shudders on take off)
New spark plug leads (Magnecore)
Catback exhaust
Hardtop
Kaaz LSD
New gearbox

Now some photos

Plan is to do some track days and next year maybe some wet skid pan days or motorkhanas.

Tidy car you have there. Good list if mods to come too.
As for the wheels you need to do a pretty good roll front and back to make them fit properly but it's well worth it (I have the same ones) .

Did you get them from cartel Aus?

Thanks man. Nah I got them from otomoto for a really good price (just under 600). Yeah I'm going to get them rolled in the next two weeks either by Nelson from syd guard rolling or phill b. Hopefully they don't need too much of a roll they are 15x8 +15 not the zero offset ones.

Mine are the +15 also. See my thread to see how they fit if you like. After rolling I have no scrubbing either even when dríven hard so you should be fine.

Can highly reccomend Phillip too for rolling your guards.

Had a look through your thread man they sit really good not too pokey. But I read that yours are 15x8.5 +10? Digging the colour of your car too.

The box mine came in were different to the actual wheel itself. But I can confirm that they are the same as yours

Ok cool. Good to know they don't scrub anywhere with a good roll, how much camber are you running?

Haven't done much lately just got it low on the wheels skirts will go on this week.

Next up is an LSD. Still tossing up between buying torsen rear end or getting a Kaaz LSD centre for the 1.6 diff.
