Yep, I've been harassed at that time of day just because I'm driving an MX-5.

Race numbers are not illegal on cars dríven on public roads, Porsche actually sell some with numbers as do Mini, in NSW they have to have a diagonal line thru them or removed
NSW would be what I'm thinking of then. Fair enough. I never got around to printing and laminating my number, so I'll have to modify Lakeside's number 28 again.

Re: MX5 Club of Queensland Track Day 4 November 13
What a fantastic day!!
Many thanks to Comp Secretary Brian, his assistants John & Neil, Chris & Wendy, and to Doug and his team from QR, especially Barb doing the marshalling and AJ up on the flags - well done to all!!
Checked my 'lapceiver' and completed 70 laps!! I think, 'cause I gave up counting, that I did 70 laps for the day being 10 runs and could have lined up for more!!
The track seemed to go 'off' with cloud cover after lunch but came 'back' later - missed a PB by 0.34 secs but who cares when you are having fun!!
Well done to that managed PB's on the day and thanks to all for a great year a competition - see you in 2014

Re: MX5 Club of Queensland Track Day 4 November 13
Excellent day. My first flying lap of the day was 7 tenths quicker than my previous PB, courtesy of some new, much grippier tyres. By the end of the day I managed a 1:07.7, pretty happy with that considering the car is mechanically stock except for slotted rotors. Quite impressed with Federal 595 RSRs, very grippy tyres. 10 sessions, great value. If only they were all full days.

Fantastic day yet again. Many thanks to all organizers, volunteers, & QR staff. I set 3 new PB's throughout the day so I'm wrapped.

Re: MX5 Club of Queensland Track Day 4 November 13
Was a really good day, thanks to all those who make these things possible. I love these full days since they give a great opportunity to have a bit of a play and try a few things back to back.
I really did not go out expecting much today but with the great slightly overcast weather and the rain holding off I got plenty of time in similar conditions to tweek the setup. I even managed a new PB which I am pretty chuffed with on the worn out tyres only downside was the camera went flat before I got my PB lap I think I might have got one earlier in the day though which was only a couple of tenths or so off, I will have a look through and put the best one up when I get a some time on the off chance that someone is interested to see it.
Cheers,
Tim

Thanks everyone for organising the day. Had heaps of fun, learn a bit and put down lots of laps. Seriously awesome value for money.
Hopefully be able to make more of them next year!

New PB video, and also a bit of a fail at Hungry. Turns out the camera battery died 45sec after it, so yay. Video evidence!

Re: MX5 Club of Queensland Track Day 4 November 13
Thanks Brian, other MX5 members, Doug, Barb and QR for another excellent MX5 club track day.
Dad did yet another PB, shaving 1.2 seconds off his time to get well into the 3's with a PB of 1.03.63. Very impressive considering he was in the 8's at the first Lakeside day in January.

Re: MX5 Club of Queensland Track Day 4 November 13
Here is two of the 4 laps only i got in for the day, with 2 studs falling out of my turbo manifold and sounding like a mac truck.
I was short shifting to just get a few laps done knowing i would be packing up early.(still banged down a couple of 64s)
See at about 1.33 when Chris knew his day was over in the Silvia. (full screen better)
As I let him overtake me at the kink, i thought i could smell burning electrics.
