I seem to recall that the 'Q' muffler is a better choice if the car is fitted with an entire exhaust. I have a PRHT and do notice a little 'Boominess' but roof down it is not a bother. Fill the boot with cardboard boxes, don't flatten them, if it reduces the annoyance perhaps you could line the boot with some deadening material.
Good luck.
Greg.
P.S. GWR no longer ship to Aus.

Agree that the Q is a better choice, but RS2 came with the car, so I need to find a work around or change the muffler. Bit hard to do the weekly shop with a boot full of cardboard boxes

GWR still ship to Australia, just that the freight or postage can double the price of the item

The weekly shop would be a perfect substitute for a stack of boxes. Someone in here lined the baulkhead behind the seats with sticky backed deadener. Is it still running the original exhaust?

Actually I took the baffles out before I went shopping and had the boot full of the weekly shop on my way home - still painful :(

Hi Coach,
Have you considered a stock muffler? I have one in my shed that has done very little.

Actually I'm tossing up between going back to stock or modifying the Roadster Sport. On Brian Goodwin's suggestion I've ordered a single glass baffle and will give that a try. He has also suggested changing the rear pipes from 2.5' TO 1.75" and I'll talk to my local shop about this option.

Have you considered increasing the length of the original baffles? I have a zero interference exhaust (Remus) fitted to my motorcycle and two drop in baffle of different lengths. You could even experiment with perferated tube.

Looks great Peter. I love red NCs and often wonder why there are so few of them around. :? It's an excellent colour.

Id sell the RS muffler and throw the standard exhaust back on

Then with the money buy some headers! There are a few guys running with just headers on a std exhaust and it sounds awesome, not loud at all. and you will have a noticeable power increase

My sentiments exactly, there would be no point choking it to death.

Kind of what I'm doing - the glass baffle is extra length with more insulation in it, so I'll see what difference that makes and see where I go from there
