Interested to know the manner in which hardtops were purchased for NA and NB models.
I was told that intially they were just black (rubberised on NA's) red and white, but could they be ordered through Mazda as an OEM accessory which matched the paint colour or were they imported base coated and then painted locally?
Maybe rare colours like malibu gold, mariner blue and montego blue were not even available from new?

From what I have read before on these forums, Aus delivered LE BRG/Neo Green & the 1993 Red/Tan/BBS LE came with a hardtop from factory in a matching colour.
