That panel gap is time attack style. It is supposed to let the air out from the wheel well. I am doubtfull that it makes much/any difference. But every bit helps.

Eventually i will just cut the guard away.... this is the lazy solution for now.

Not uncommon what you've done Beavis. If you look at the time attack cars, some just have a bracket at the bottom so the panel pushes out and looks like a widened guard.

It also gives more clearance for tyres.

OK...it looks like it was pushed out in the middle and pulled back in at the bottom

I did the practice at Wakefield on Saturday, track looked tricky. But once out there it was not too hard at all. The car has plenty of understeer, not used to that. Could be because I have no front spoiler, or it is just the track. I will make some adjustments in the morning to help control it. Never had understeer before like that. I got. 1:10.45 in the morning on my first session learning the track. And hovered around the low 11's to mid 10's all day. Was not too worried about the understeer. But will concentrate on that tomorrow. Try for a 1:09 in the morning.

Well done to the NSW guys at Wakefield. They ran a good day and won the trophy. I couldn't get the front to grip better, in fact the changes made it worse, and I had to leave early, so could not be bothered playing with the settings. My official time on the day was a 1:10.58.

Now I am changing the car to make it as fast as I can with stuff lying around. I have limited time, and I am not going to spend any money on it.
So far I have put the c.f fastback and boot on from the c.f car, taken off the Oem intake pipe and airbox, replaced it with a silicon elbow and pod filter. Vented bonnet is on. And hoping to get a front splitter and airdam, side skirts and wing on before the weekend.

How are you going to mount the wing without damaging the boot?

What diff have you got in there? Your gearing looks quite different to what a lot I've seen in videos of other quick cars with 6 speeds.

I changed the front bumper a bit. Didn't get time to put the splitter on, but I think it will have zero front lift like this.

Your gearing really doesn't suit Wakefield Park. Lots of up changes while the car is loaded up on corner exit, and banging the limiter into turn 3. You could be a bit faster with the right diff ratio. But then you've obviously set it up this way to suit your local circuits.
