Fitted new pads this morning. The new pads combined with new rotors has made a huge difference to braking time. That plus new tyres, I recon should equal a second or two off my pb at lakeside next week.

Fixed my slow creaking squealing driver side window by spraying wd40 on the rollers, not too sure how long the wd40 will last I may have to buy some grease so its more effective. Might do the passenger side so it runs a little smoother.

Fitted a new VDO fuel pump after several weeks of diagnosis/misdiagnosis! Bit tricky and stressful as it was a non genuine; however smiles all round when it finally fired! A good clean was then in order followed by a nice 'cruise' through the hinterland.

Washed it again, been a while... Cleaned the wheels too, murdered a sponge in the process. 3 bucket method from here on out I think, the dust these EBC Redstuff pads make is nasty :(

Replaced the alternator and alternator belt on the five today! Very simple to do, I chose to go in from underneath rather than mess about from the top. Car started after a quick helping hand from dads Lancer. Will go back in tomorrow and make sure all bolts are torqued correctly.

Gotta love getting into your car and learning new things! :D

Purchase a can of Lanolene spray grease, clean the rollers before application. It will never go astray and it does not eat rubber or poly u's so it great on suspension bushes, sways etc but do not use it in door locks.
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Took it out for a drive with the top down and blew the cobb webs out of it :D

Then gave it a quick clean and detail when I got back home.

Also bought a Sparco Sprint V yesterday so hopefully get that fitted soon.

I fitted a doctor mx5 upper shift boot yesterday, no more heat and noise, and should hopefully last longer than a mazda one
