ALDI Digital Tyre Gauge, Ratchet Axle Stands & Torque Wrench
Just thought I would let everyone know that ALDI is currently selling a Digital Tyre Gauge for $10. I just picked one up, have yet to use/test it.
Handy for the toolbox or for those who monitor tyre pressures constantly on the track.
They also have axle stands that are ratchet style for $30 and a torque wrench (that I bought last year - surprisingly well built) for $20!

the tyre pressure gauge goes alright for 10 dollars - not sure how long it will last though...

what are the specs of the torque wrench? 30-200 pounds? is it 1/2 inch? anyone have experience with it. I'm looking for something cheap for the bike.

Yeah, I think that one is a bit small for your bike.
Try the Torque Master II

A mate of mine has the Aldi torque wrench. The only thing I don't like about it is the numbers were a bit (very) hard to read & it's the dial on the handle type. Does the job though.
I have the axle stands & IMO they're great.

I'd prefer that over a click type when looking at buying a cheap torque wrench. I made the mistake of buying a 1/2 inch Kinchrome torque wrench a couple of years ago after they dropped their lifetime warranty. Complete crap, the click mechanism worked twice then gave out. Sheared a high tensile bolt in a brake caliper before I found out it wasn't clicking anymore. You keep pushing thinking 'this feels like too much pressure, but surely it will click....' Turns out it only had a 12 month warranty.

The Aldi one allows you to adjust the torque setting on the dial that's on the lower handle and also clicks once the torque value had been reached.
I will take some photos of the torque range when I get home. I've used mine over the past year and it has been fine. For $20 I can't complain about the features or the quality.
I tested the the pressure gauge the other day, and it provided the same readings as the local servo digital tyre inflator on all my tyres.

Must be the same model Kinchrome torque wrench I first bought though I suspect I screwed mine up cracking the nut - I figured it had a long handle so was OK to do this. Mine lasted about 3 months before this and subsequent surfing the Whirlpool forums indicated that Kinchrome torque wrenches weren't much good anyway. I didn't bother getting it repaired and bought an aircraft-grade digital one instead after advice from an ex-RAAF fitter and turner - it cost a LOT (US$279) but I'll have it for life IF I don't use it to do the initial nut crack.
One thing to keep in mind with torque wrenches (if they're not broken) is that for most backyard mechanics, an out of calibration torque wrench is still more likely to be more accurate than your own sense of feel so don't dismiss this Aldi wrench entirely - it is German made apparently so its chances of breaking should be less than the SCA alternative.
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Wun, here are the specs and pictures as promised.
Keep in mind, mine is last years model, I guess it should be the same. 3 year warranty. Made in Taiwan.

I got an Aldi one too!
Haven't had the chance to use yet but from what I've heard; a mate has one. It does the job good enough.

Looking at the photos MrRevHead put up, I'm pretty certain it's the same as the MechPro branded one I got from Repco a while ago. Same torque range, same twist nut lock on the bottom, same grip etching. Mine was $90, guaranteed overpriced since it was from Repco.
