Are there going to be passenger laps? If so I might bolt in a passenger seat and belt into the red race car and bring it out. Any takers?

I'd like that too, but they haven't done passenger laps in the past 3 days, one was a full day at Lakeside. After the Porsche crash at QR, I don't think many clubs will be allowing them for a while.

We used to pay extra insurance to run with passengers at our Prod Sports corporate day, but yes agree in light of the shocking accident at QR the other week, I would doubt they are in a hurry to allow it.

I'm thinking of having a drive this time. Do I just hire a 2nd transponder and swap them between runs?

Do we actually get confirmation of entry details back from the compsec? Or should I just rock up on the day and hope he has all my stuff?

Yes, but you both need to enter and pay as individual drivers.

Right... technology hasn't caught up yet...

I assume we're still the same number as previously?

We have a new Competition Secretary (Brian) who came forward when nobody else would. He is a very busy guy and is doing everything he can as an unpaid volunteer to continue to make your track days successful and the best value for money possible. The rules have not changed for the rest of this year, but the car number allocation system may have changed - I'm sure he will try to accommodate any specific desires.

I expect he will try to respond to everyone. However, if your email did not bounce, he has it. As long as you have paid and advised the reference you used for the payment and date, you have nothing to worry about.

If you wish, you can thank him personally on the day for proposing that this track day be charged at normal half day rates.

I'll be sure to thank him :)

Are you asking about car numbers?

All information on the day is on the club website here: http://www.mx5clubqld.com.au/?page_id=33

Yeah, car numbers. Previously I was told that it is the same each track day. If so, I'll come with that number on the car.

Thanks for the link. I did not see that summary on the site.

Your number may have been re-allocated if you weren't at the last track day at Willowbank as Brian had to start a new database at that event - no fault of his. No worries anyway, QR have stacks of them. Give him a call. Contact info is on the page 1 of this thread

Plohl

Gates are normally open around 7.00am for a full day

Any idea of the number running so far JBT? I haven't annoyed Ross this time plus been so busy I'm lucky to be able to get next Monday off, let alone Tuesday - it will take me to January to catch up on the backlog :(

Cool - plenty of time to get sorted.
