Hi all,
I was driving around my NA6 yesterday, had no troubles whatsoever until the last time I started my car up to go home from a friends. Car idles OK, however the battery light and brake light stay on at idle. Once driving, they seem to fade away but come back again if the car returns to slow speed or to a stop.
Any ideas what I should go looking for? Keep in mind that my handbrake dash light isn't actually connected to the handbrake, and hasn't been for a few months now without any issues.
I have work today, so fingers crossed I'll get there, if there is any updates on the drive I'll let you know when I arrive

Re: Battery & Brake Light on at idle
Battery is low charge, probably a loose belt or buggered voltage regulator, when the revs increase so does the speed of the alternator increasing charging turning off the light.
The brake light is for low fluid, just check if it's low.

Alternator has failed or the belt has failed.

Yep, thats what I thought. Ahhhh well let the tinkering begin. I may as well replace both while I'm in there haha.
