Hi all,
I'm thinking about swapping the standard air cleaner in my 07 NC for a performance one. Mainly for looks and sound, but also hopefully a few extra ponies.
Can anyone recommend one that is easy to install (i'm not much of a mechanic), reasonably priced, available in oz and good looking?
The K&N 57i looks pretty good, anyone swapped one of these out? what is it like? where did you get it and how much did it cost?
thanks guys.
M

Re: Air cleaner
Mx5parts in the UK sold me a K&N one for the NB with brackets to fit on the engine bay very easily, so if it's as easy for the NC, I would recommend going there.
Some problems, are so complex that you have to be highly intelligent
and well informed just to be undecided about them

Will not change the sound, not will it add any ponies unless your old filter was really really dirty. Look at getting a cold air intake, checkout one of our forum sponsors mx5mania.com.au

I'm pretty sure it will.
If you remove the airbox and panel filter and replace it with an exposed pod like the 57i you'll hear it.
