need some opinions people!!
So im interested in purchasing new wheels for my NA6 to handle better during hill climbs and some track days (as well as daily driving)
my two options are: Work Equip 01's for $1400
rears are 15x8 +23
fronts 7x7 +25
OR
AXIS og old schools from mx5mania for $780
15 x 8 - 25
Also tyre choice will be KU31's
please help me out as to the best buy.
I would like the Work Equip's as they're genuine...but the two differnt sizes worry as it may look/perform bad (i dont know).
any help is greatly appresciated!!! thanks guys

Also 8's are better.
But not as good as 9's, but 8s fit right on.

Re: need some opinions people!!
You ask opinions yet narrow the options to only one tyre and and only two wheels, one of which is an offset option.
Just my 2c, but I wonder if you might get truer and better opinions if you let forumites think outside of the box you've defined?

UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

I would run the widest lightest cheapest 15" wheels you are willing to put on the car. (ie how much cutting and flaring are you willing to do, also considering your available tyre options).

Re: need some opinions people!!
not too sure on those yet Dann, i guess i would dedicate more money down the track to buy proper semi slick tyres and light racing wheels for when ive finished study can afford to track it more often....
but i was mainly looking for opinions on the two wheels i described...
(sorry may have worded the original post a bit wrong there)

nope i think everybody understood. if everybody is suggesting other options than that you have given, it's telling you something about those option then isn't it?D.A.M wrote:not too sure on those yet Dann, i guess i would dedicate more money down the track to buy proper semi slick tyres and light racing wheels for when ive finished study can afford to track it more often....

I think the KU31 is great bang for buck. I've seen them used for track days and they work fine.

$1,400 would get you a set of 6UL's and KU31's. Just as light as the 6UL's are the Advanti Storm II.

I think you need to determine whether you preference light weight wheels over aesthetically appealing wheels with street appeal.
Your aim is to be more involved in motorsport, but the two choices of wheels you have selected are more geared towards looks and street cred.

Get them then and save for track wheels and tyres. So you did not want opinions only looking for justifying your decision to yourself?
