Hi.
I have 2 daily drivers- should only be one but I really enjoy driving the na6 so "troy" and "max" share the driving.
"Troy" is a 88 toyota sprinter gtz trueno ( toyota liked short snappy names!). I like the way the supercharger has instant power which is kept under control with a limited slip differential.
"Max" is the 90 na6 which is being used more recently since its modifications. Very nice thing now with a reasonable increase in power and around corners suffers from no limited slip differential.

My NC1 is a dríven daily (though not always by me).
My wife and I have the '5 and a late model Forester. On the days the wife is working (two days a week) she takes the '5, and I take Mini-Me to childcare in the Forester.
The rest of the week she keeps the Forester at home and I drive the '5.
Early next year though I'll be getting rid of the '5 in favour of something that can accommodate a child seat.

Have a Clio 182 Cup as the daily driver, NB is used regularly (yesterday for instance) and not just for weekends.

The MX5 is my weekend car, along with my EVO 7.
I have a Honda Civic as my daily. Although sometimes I want to start modifying that too. Hahaha

Sorry to keep hi-jacking the thread, but it does really emphasise that you can get a lemon in any Make or Model regardless of reputation, and that some well regarded Makes/Models still have a higher than expected proportion of lemons. (I'm thinking BMW here) It really is a complete lottery.

The NA6 is for weekends and some track days, though doesn't get dríven nearly enough.

Also have a XR6 Turbo ute as the work hack, but is as much fun as the MX to drive, though completely different.

The better half has a Lancer that we use for most driving duties as it's easier to get out of teh garage than the MX.

Plus I have a Charger awaiting to be finished for weekend duties as well. Once this is on the road the MX may have to go as I don't have enough garage space for all the cars.

After a retrenchment due to the closure of a couple of factories... I thought, today I buy the motorbike I have always wanted...

My first car was an RX5, always liked Mazda sports cars, one day I spotted an NC1 for the same price as the ABS equipped LAMS bike (+jacket, +pants, +helmet, + boots)...

Figuring it was a cheap way to get a bloke and his briefcase to work every day... I cashed my car allowance in the next job and drove it instead... roof down every day it was dry...

Now i am contracting, 150 clicks round trip a day and charging K's

The way I figure it, we are a family of four and between both cars average 4.5 seats and 5.5 airbags per vehicle.... good averages I reckon

mouthwatering......[/quote]

Years ago at a Datsun Long weekend in Temora [NSW] I met a guy from Brisbane who had with him a 510 - not a P510

It was a 1600 2-door with a 1300cc engine, but whilst he still had the engine at home for originality he had stuck a 1600 into it - bought it cheap when driving past some Asian people playing tennis and they said 'you wanna buy it? we have to go back home' so he got it for a 'steal'

My P510SSS came from New Guinea, owned by a Doctor who brought it down when they oved to Wagga Wagga - I only had it a short while, from 1981 to 1995!!

Bought by an Engineer in Traralgon,Victoria to restore [not much was needed] to 'concourse' condition - had no contact with him since :(

There is a school of thought that you can only drive one car at a time so you should only have to pay one registration fee..5 is too many, something has to go..
