Hey Ceptor, nice ride!

I like the blue rims matching the top. And you're right about wanting that chrome roll over bar gone!

You seem to like your Nasho runs. Are you from around the shire or south Sydney? You should post a shout-out next time you're heading in there for a run.

Yeah that roll bar should be gone in a few weeks, I have a replacement on order

I'm from Campbelltown way, most of the time nasho runs are a spontaneous thing just like fitting coil overs in Luke's (CM Sport) MX5 at 5am in the morning haha

Yesterday was spent at Connor Motorsports HQ sinking beers, chilling with mates, watching Bathurst and working on the cars. The TV was dragged out of the bedroom and a dodgy aerial was made so we didnt have to leave the garage.

Fitted up most of the trim and the roll cage to Luke's (CM Sport) car. I can't wait till mine is ready.

Replaced the timing belt, water pump and drive belt to my MX5

With dirt roads, wet grassy hills and over 6hrs of driving each way it seemed my tyres wouldn't be up for the task or approved by NSW HWP. So on went the spare set of Rota's for the trip.

My class was cancelled on Thursday which finally gave me a chance to head out to MX5 Mania to grab some parts. After accidentally going to the old address I discovered Galston Road, OMG definitely have to go back there when I have a new clutch and new tyres.

Later on I went to the shops, come back to my car an hour later and look what has parked next to me. Completely standard in mint condition.

You have BC Racing BR series coilovers which are a good budget all-round coilover with decent damping adjustments.

What Teins were you thinking of getting?

Tein Super Streets are fine for DD but not for trackwork, with 7kg front and 6kg rear springs they're designed for a smooth ride - the name basically says what they're suited for, "The Street".

A ratio of 3:2 is considered ideal for trackwork (eg. 9kg front, 6kg rear) but not so good for DD.

The BR series coilovers use 8kg front springs and 6kg rear springs which is a reasonable compromise. just adjust the damping to suit the environment.

Keith Tanner's "How to build a High-Performance Mazda Miata MX-5" makes for good reading on all things MX5 performance related - definitely worth adding to the bookshelf.

At the time my best mate was sponsored by Tein and we both were selling Tein, it made sense to use the product you sell in your own car. But a few months on and having a few mates that work at Just Jap (sellers of BC Coilovers) which gave me more information on the BC's I have changed my mind and decided to keep them
