Found this rubber hose behind my battery 2004 SE what is it ? :? where dose it go what dose it do :oops:

It's supposed to be attached to the battery, on the top of the battery should be a plastic nipple thing near where the vent caps would be if it weren't a sealed battery.

That's what it's for but it doesn't make a difference what battery you have in your mx5 anyway. I had a normal sealed liquid battery in mine for 9 years and had no problems with it at all. As long as it fits, any battery is fine.

Just be aware that a battery that vents into the boot space could possibly cause an explosion if there was a spark - thus the vent tubes for the factory battery.
