SE coil pack info needed urgently please

Postby davekmoore » Wed Oct 09, 2013 8:22 pm

The coil pack(s) off my 2004 SE have gone missing during the engine rebuild and the trucking of the car from Winton via Bendigo and then to Melton West. They're one of the last items to go back on before the world's longest rebuild gets finished.

Sp please can an SE owner or expert chime in as soon as possible with either a great pic of the setup and/or any part numbers you can see on them and/or a verbal description of them?

Thanks in advance.
UK since return: Standard NC2 (horrid), C200K, ND2 BBR, NC2 BBR200 (loved it), NC BBR300 (better than BARMY), V-Special, turbo NB8B (my 84th car)

If you haven't got it yet, download the following and stash it somewhere:

MAZDA MIATA 1999-04 Part Numbers: http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/pdfs/collgd/mx5_9905_cg.pdf

See Page 243, top left.

SE coil packs are just standard NB8B coil packs as far as I know, as are the SP's.

Will hunt up some pics, but it's two coils on plugs 2 & 4, with two plug leads to plugs 1 & 3.

:) yep!

After market Bosch are much cheaper than genuine Mazda BTW. I can check the Bosch number in the morning - I still have the boxes in the shed.

I must be getting old (actually I am old!). I bought genuine Mazda not after market. Part Number is BP6D-18-100A. Mania list them on eBay at the right price ($69) although the pic shows them as Mania branded:

And genuine OEM for $89 here:
