rx7 brakes

just want to know if there is a thread on fitting up rx7 fd or fc brake calipers to a na6

How you don't mind if I borrow your thread for a moment...

Is there a need for it? Na's ran smaller brakes than the nb's right? The nb and nc have enough braking from what I can see. Has anybody needed to increase rotor size on them for track?

No I certainly didn't need to. I ran TWR pads on stock calipers but rotors were slotted. The car had excellent brakes, never had fade and I loved them. The pads were also relatively cheap at $70 per set. How could you go wrong. They were brilliant. Run some fresh brake fluid through the system and save your money.
Actually buy the TWR pads first and try them. If you don't like them then you're out of pocket by $70. My bet is you'll thank me for saving you some money but I'm guessing you've already bought the calipers.

Already running nb calipers n TRW pad with DBA slotted disc n n they r OK soon will have a lot more power n will be tracking the car. Would not use TRW again as they leave way to much brake dust

Forgot to mention my car was an NA6 and a race car. Yes they do produce a good amount of brake dust. What you should know is they have a working temperature of up to 600 degrees C, so I'm guessing they wouldn't be that good on the road. When they warmed up on the track they were more than adequate. First lap was ordinary so I can understand your comment about them being ok. I doubt you would get the necessary temp for them to come on to temp on the street.

Good luck with whatever you choose to do as good brakes inspire confidence and ultimately faster lap times.

For what it's worth I'm running Hawk Blue 9012 on my new car (NB8A) and love them.

Which nb brakes nba or NBb? I assume you have itbs? If so I'd be very surprised if you need more brakes then nbb without a turbo.

Yeah agreed sailaholic. One of the first upgrades I was going to do to my car was brakes, luckily I was talked out of it (one of the many gems of wisdom i was given along the way). All I have done is braided lines and non standard calipers and pads.

If anything look at getting some air ducted into your front brakes, keeping them cool on the track will help reduce fade.
