At the cost of running at arguably the most boring track in the country instead of the fastest and more technical one. Sure, the risk is not for everyone. I would never go back to Lakeside in a daily driver, or without a roll bar/harness/seat/hans and actually push hard. QR was fun the first time there. Then I went to Lakeside, and within one 5 lap session I realised how poorly QR compares when it comes to driving enjoyment for me.
Master plan for Lakeside: Gravel trap on the outside of the kink, and move the armco back 10m and put in a gravel trap at the entrance to the straight. The most problematic areas are hugely minimised, and you still get all the fun you had before
