Best price for Hawk Blue's ?
Hi All,
Need to replace brakes on my NB8B.
Can anyone recommend we're I can buy Hawk Blue pads and possibly rotors at a very good price ?
For track use, what rotors are most using ?
Hawk US site sell pads for $116us + shipping. I guess shipping would be about $45-50.
Thank you.

Try Amazon, some retailers on there are willing to post internationally.
Otherwise, speak to Steve from Vsport in Arndell Park to get a local price, he is usually pretty competitive in pricing.

Goodwin have a $15 postpak that holds 2 sets pads. I've used this each of the five times I've got pads from Goodwin

I use plain RDA rotors from MotorsportEssentials. They're in melb but they ship anywhere.
I get two years / 20 track days out of the fronts. Double that out of rears..

... and my last set of RDAs lasted less than one track day before developing cracks everywhere. Val retired the same day after one session on new RDAs on her RX7. Same for both of us - 30mm radial cracks on the outside face in the centre of the pad zone. Doesn't Dean sell DBA rotors for about the same price as RDAs?

Were they plain or slotted rotors?

That is also what I have heard. You can also use a US freight forwarder such as Shipito to get your purchase forwarded to Aus from Goodwin.RaceTech wrote:Thank you,

Slotted, running fresh HP+ pads.rascal wrote:Were they plain or slotted rotors?
I don't doubt that you've got a couple of years out of yours but I think the metallurgy in them is a bit too variable.

Who is Dean Phil? I have DBAs, will likely get them when new ones are needed.

I've had disappointing results from RDA's in the past also... similar to Phil's pic above.
I buy my pads from http://www.hawkpadsdirect.com/

Re: Best price for Hawk Blue's ?
I have only ever used stock Mazda rotors. Currently on some cheap replacement ones from 949racing as they made a deal for some c.f parts. Still plain, with no slots or holes. Also usually been using hawk blues, very good pad. Again, using 949 supplied pads- carbotech. So far so good. They ship to aus no worries.

Re: Best price for Hawk Blue's ?
I've got ebc green fitted in car at the moment, I've only just purchased the car, yet to track it.
Was going over it prior to first outing, pads are still good, but thinking just going straight to the hawk blue's now so I can cross the brakes off my list.
