$220 fitted and balanced?
Does $165 include freight? You then need to factor in fitting and balancing and what the date of manufacture might be for the ebay ones.

$220 was for tyre only. $90 freight for 4 tyres to Brisbane and I am sure I will be able to find a tyre shop that will fit and balance pretty cheaply. I am also going to look at other cheaper performance tyre options if anyone wants to put their 2 cents in but I did like the federals.

Installed an Autostrada cruise control, for those boring straight bits. Having relatives spread from Townsville to Taree means that any visit is going to involve lots of boring straight bits. Although, on one trip to Newcastle, by motorbike, I zig-zagged across from the New England Hwy to the Pacific Hwy on the joining highways, Bruxner Hwy, Waterfall Way, Oxley Hwy, etc.
This is the end result (of the install, not the above trip lol) Sorry it's a bit blurry.

I used instructions, up to step 7, from the following link to install a reed switch in the speedo, rather than using the external speed sensor that Autostrada are able to supply. I had to make a couple of detours along the way though, as the instructions refer to a wiring pinout from the instrument cluster for the cruise control speed sensor. My NA is a JDM without this pin, but it does have the 180kph limit pinout. I repositioned the 180kph pin to the speed sensor slot and continued on.

The Autostrada kit came with a mounting bracket for the module in the engine bay. This was not compatible with any spare spaces in the NA, so I made up a couple of brackets out of a bit of aluminium flat bar.
This one is bolted to the bulkhead

Works a treat, and is similar in appearance to the OEM stalk in a 323 of the same vintage as my NA. Driving around today along the Warrego Hwy, with cruise set to 100kph, the car maintained a speed within 2kph either side of the set, ie downhill up to 102, uphill down to 98, flat 100.

Plastidipped some of my badges

First time I've used plastidip and I'm impressed. Time will tell how well it wears.

I was thinking about painting my badges with plasti dip as well. Might have a crack over the weekend.

Got some BC BR coilovers installed today by Automotive Plus. Looks brilliant and rides a lot smoother now.

Recently purchased a Sparco gear knob and handbrake lever. Looks so cool! However, it is not very comfortable.....would be great if I can use it with a Sparco glove 8)

In total it was $1496 supplied and fitted. The BC's were on special for $1199 (normally $1299) and fitting was $297 (3 hrs labour)

Changed engine, transmission & diff oils ... then gave it a good clean ... my back seems to have survived the ordeal reasonably well so might even get to go for a decent top down drive tomorrow with some promising weather forecast ....

Picked up a strut brace from mrpham and fitted in this morning.

Took the car for a quick run and it seems to tighten everything up nicely, there was a lot less bashing and crashing over the bumps, speed bumps and other traffic calming devices on my test circuit.

Will be interesting to see what difference it makes at the next day, if I can get a second I will be more than happy as that will get me very close to fasted in class.
