N00b needs help

Postby mloo » Tue Sep 17, 2013 6:43 pm

Hey guys,

I have a n00b question, while driving home from uni today, noticed some black tap on my car mat.

Once arriving home to check where it had fallen from. I noticed this connection under my steering wheel in the footwell..

Now that its loose and not connected I'm a little worried what it is.

If anyone could tell me what it is that would be greatly appreciated.

PS if anyone could tell me if its just a simply plug n play connection and then just put tape over it again is an ok solution.

Cheers mloo

How does the radio sound? It almost looks like the head unit antenna co-axial cable, I could be wrong though.

Or maybe something left over from a uhf install. You really need to trace the wire and see where it goes.

And you need new pedal rubbers!
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

It is a FME connector and they are normally used for coaxial cables so yes either the radio or UHF radio. However it looks like the male part has detached and a new male plug is needed.
