Hi.
Have you thoroughly checked that you do not have a leaking manifold gasket?

Full Loch system and yes, it is raspy in some rev ranges. The power bump made it worth while.

On the supercharged NB I managed to kill most of it with an 'Aero' resonator, the yanks use them on E46 M3s for the same thing. It was still raspy when cold (was fine when warmed up), and the resonator had pretty thin walls so cracked a couple of times.

Could be worth looking at?

dríven it quite a few more times now since the install and I think I'm getting used to it.

The sound with the top down is ok. Top up is still a bit annoying but for the performance gains, I can live with it.

I don't know what you've said here for some reason but out of context, I like it

I got a bit worried after this thread that the sound would go a bit crazy when I fit a stainless manifold this weekend but if anything the car has gotten quieter which I wasn't expecting... they are wrapped though.
I was going to take the wrapping off as I read it wasn't a good idea to wrap them but they came to me that way and had been used with the wrapping previously...
