YOU ARE INVITED

As the President of the Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW, I invite everyone in the MX-5 Community to attend the Bits 'n' Bling and Concours d'Elegance event held in conjunction with the President's Picnic. This is an annual opportunity for everyone to show their MX-5, and speak to other enthusiasts about their cars, engines, future upgrades and experiences behind the wheel of the world's most popular sports car. The event will be held on the grounds of the historic Ebenezer Church, 95 Coromandel Street, Ebenezer from 10:00am on Saturday 14 September 2013.

Financial members of the MX-5 Club of NSW will be treated to a FREE LUNCH from 12:30pm, and must RSVP to socialsec@mx5.com.au by 31 August 2013 for catering purposes. Non-members are welcome to join us for lunch at a cost of $25 per person (payable in advance). A person joining on the day will be entitled to a free lunch and entry into the competitions, but must RSVP before 31 August 2013. Entry by cars into the church grounds is limited to members, or non-members with a lunch ticket. Note that in the case of wet weather, the President's Picnic WILL go ahead undercover, but Bits 'n' Bling and Concours will be postponed.

This year the Club is conducting a Concours d'Elegance and will again hold Bits 'n' Bling (replacing the more formal Show 'n' Shine): Bits for cars with modified engines, mechanicals and trim, and Bling for MX-5s externally modified disregarding any engine or mechanical upgrades. A car can be entered into Bits or Bling competition. Club Trophies will be awarded to members for each model with at least three entrants for Bits and for Bling. Best on Show and Le Beau Prix De Dames for the Best Lady's MX-5 on show is also limited to all Club member's MX-5s. Non-member's MX-5s will be eligible for recognition by way of certificates of excellence and the People's Choice Award.

All the details, documents and information for these events can be found on the Event Calendar of the MX-5 Club of NSW website. The entry forms and judging guides for Concours will be posted in the near future.

ARRIVE IN STYLE

The Club has organised runs from various locations timed to arrive at the venue by 10:30am. Each run will have a separate entry on the Club's Event Calendar.

Any queries about the events should be posted in this thread which will be monitored leading up to the event, or email to captain@mx5.com.au.

I agree.... A great day even though the weather was looking pretty grim last night.

So much socializing that I didn't get to take one photo!
