Yup it's hard to get a good wide light with the LED, I did a write up a few years ago.

You can also get those Red condoms for the globes, they work really well.

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

I used these red coloured bulbs from ebay seller "BRIGHT LIGHT AUTO PARTS" in my NB (original condom bulbs beside them for comparison):

One forum member, who also used these same bulbs, commented that they had an orange tinge to them, but I like them ...

Thanks Okibi. I originally bought cheap ebay LEDs which is part of the problem. I have also been looking at the condoms.

Thanks Kevgoat. I saw your earlier post on this topic. I liked the result you got which prompted me to change. I have used the ebay link you supplied and searched the store and only found green and clear ones. Have searched the mighty interweb as well and only come up with LEDs. Will keep searching.

I just ordered a whole interior conversion from superbrightLEDs yesterday, using cool white LEDs. we'll see how they go.

Where did you order it from? Link, please?

I am kind of wondering if the cluster in white LEDs would look good...maybe post a pic when you have done it?

Ended up buying red silicon covers for dash globes today and happy with the outcome. Very similar to the pic kevgoat posted.

I had clear globes in before and the dial lit up a light green colour as there is a green film behind. The needles glowed a dull white which looked kind of cool but still didn't match my stereo.

Good luck guys.

Buy from here: http://www.superbrightleds.com/

Guide here: http://www.miata.net/garage/NA%20LED%20 ... index.html

I like the idea of white LEDs in my NA so I can have white needles like I have in my NC, plus I've installed a revlimiter HVAC panel and the original bulbs make it illuminate a beige colour instead of stock green so I'm hoping cool white or green LEDs (ordered both) will fix this.

Ill put up a thread with the results when they arrive.

I had white LED's in my NA and really liked the look. Due to an issue I had with some of my LED's blowing, I later changed to clear filaments which gave an off white effect to the needles, but still looked better than the original.

Ruined my crap tyres a little bit more. Turns out econotyres made to last 60,000km and use as little fuel as possible, don't handle all the right-hand corners at Queensland Raceway all that well. Shoulders break away in pieces, rather than wearing down. These two photos are the front and rear LHS tyres, and the damage goes all the way around, up to around 5-6mm deep in most places.

Need to sell stock SE suspension and the KYB AGXs......
pics?

Yeah I am slack.....
.....I'll take some tomorrow. Wheel centre to guard height is around 290mm (11.4")

Here we are at the low height.
(It's an iPhone 4S, which is 115mm tall)
Both wheels are tucked under the guards, and you can see all the low hanging fruit under the car that collects speed humps etc.
I have since raised the suspension approx 10mm and re-adjusted the preload.

A cheap and easy task, that made a very big difference. Changed over my soft top springs for some later model "up-rated" ones. Stopped the top bouncing as much when it was down and should also reduce the excessive wear occurring between the frames on the soft top ...

Got tyres rotated and new alignment thanks to Trent at Neta tyres. My old alignment was way out and Trent was very accommodating. He was happy to have a chat and carry out any specs I requested even taking me through to the workshop and explaining what he had done and why? I haven't had a good chance to test the result out yet. If you are on Brisbane north and need a tyre shop I would talk to these guys. There service was great.

I did however find that my rears are well worn on the inner from the -3 camber that was dialled in by the last shop. Looking at federal 595 rsr if anyone knows where I can get them cheaply.

Neta are the QLD Distributor for Federal. They should be able to sort you out.

Yes they are and recommended them to me at $220 a corner for 215/40/17. I have found them on eBay for $165.
