I totally understand how hard it is to travel anywhere... especially after a days of work :(... hence why i brought it up but not making it a major issue.

Then just rock up to a few meets and see whats on offer.......have a chat to us.
It has been mentioned here quite a few times what we are looking for until such time as GC reopens.

Juts come tonight and have a chat. Both meanmx and I will be doing a 110-120km round trip (2 hours?) for tonight just to give this place a shot.
Unlikely that I would do it again in a hurry but it is about giving things a go.

see you tonight

That sounds very fair.
But we need to keep the distances down.
Personally, to be fair to all, I would like the venues to be within 10km of the Melbourne GPO.

Garage Cafe is 2km from Melbourne GPO
Andrews Burgers is 4km from GPO
Java is 8km from the GPO
Chadstone Pancake Parlour 17km from GPO
Doncaster Pancake Parlour is 19km from Melbourne GPO
Braeside is 30-40km from the Melbourne GPO

We have some members that come from Geelong, and Droo does the drive down from Bendigo just to catch up.

The below is just my 2c worth.
fastfreddygassit wrote:Wherever we choose to go should have some, if not all, of the following:
1. Relatively easy parking
2. Relaxed atmosphere
3. The ability to park cars within view
4. Decent or cheap(ish) food
5. Good coffee
6. 10km radius of Melbourne CBD
7. People to kick start Wun's bike
8. Late finish

Having said that, I am partial to kebabs.
I'd give Braeside a shot.

Degani's in Northcote sounds like it could be a goer. Tell us more. Parking outside? Food as well? Good coffee? Open until late? Doncaster is too far for a regular meet just as Braeside will not be a regular meet. Just an every now and then type thing

Deganis at Northcote has amputee parking and i mean ampule, food is good as there is two restaurants there, One is rib and burger joint Degani is a nice coffee place with sweet stuff also.

Address is:
Breavington Way
Northcote VIC 3070

google maps coords: -37.768071,145.002825

There open pretty late. There is also a wendy's inside and a few other stuff but this is based outside undercover or inside there fully glass enclosed store.

Been in and out of the rain all day, so the last thing I feel like doing is standing around in the rain eating a kebab, so I will be a no show tonight.

That sounds good. If everyone is ok with it then lets pencil it in for the week after Embassy Cafe which is next week.
