Damn that looks good, DAM! :D

Yesterday I spent the day cleaning the bare metal of my interior, then painted it black! The red of the Sparcos and green of a sticker clash quite well with the new lick of paint.

Going to supercheap to buy oil, filter and a new valve cover gasket to be changed today!

I've been having some idle issues for a while so I decided to get in to it and start narrowing the problem down. I adjusted the TPS only to find that about a minute after getting it perfect it was out again, but I'll talk about that on another thread.

Removed and checked the air valve to make sure the piston was moving as it should -all good.

Removed the throttle body & the ISCV and cleaned both, and resealed the butterfly as I know I probably removed the sealant at an earlier date.

But beer o'clock happened while I was working, so I haven't tested it yet..... Tomorrow!

Yesterday ... great weather, got totally frustrated doing nothing on the NB for weeks because of my back problems. So ... being a bit more mobile after a couple of weeks of Chiro, I made the completely rational decision to get some waiting tasks done ... obviously, start off with something easy ... removed the BC coilovers and re-installed my old stock suspension

Today ... cleaned off all the mud from our weekend's drive down 10 kms of a rather rough, muddy dirt road to a waterfall my wife wanted to visit.

With good weather on it's way, removed the hard top so that could clean and treat the soft top ready for summer (used that 303 aero stuff). Seemed to come up quite nice for an old roof.

Decided to leave the hard top off, so then needed to find a new storage place for it, having lost my old hard top stand (Mexie  ) - new storage place for now is inside the back of my Tarago

Car now looking great, top down, awesome sunshine, perfect temperature ... had to go for a drive. My son decided to come along as well. Nice drive down the coast, then on way back, we finished up spending the afternoon giving witness statements to a horrible accident that occurred directly in front of us ... both pretty shaken up by what we saw ......

Drove it for the first time in three weeks.

Fitted GV rain rails to the hardtop and installed a Cusco brake master cylinder stopper.
It works great but is was a pain in the a** to fit.

Started installing a cruise control on Wednesday last week. Found that my JDM Eunos has a cable dríven speedo and no reed switch. That put a stop to the wiring side of the install. The mechanical side, ie positioning the hardware in the engine bay is complete.
Automotive Plus fitted a hardtop on Thursday, last week.
Went to Taree for a run (the reason for the hard top, security when travelling) on Friday, via NEH and Thunderbolts Way. Came home Monday via the coast, then Canungra/Beaudesert. Great trip, but the roads on Friday were pretty rough!
Purchased a pair of Beatrush shock tower braces from forum member Peterwho, and fitted today. Will need to do the Glorious run to confirm initial feel of the hard top and the braces.
Washed and polished today as well. Looks reasonably good, even with a hard top that clashes with the body and interior!

Why a pain to fit?

I though they were only made for left hand drive 5's?
