Details: The MX500 is the classic BreakFast Club one day event for people who love a good drive and Tablelands Way is a really good drive and well worth the effort to get out to Oberon for brekkie for the run down to Goulburn. The 500km drive is not for the faint hearted but worth getting up for if driving quiet, traffic free and challenging country roads is your thing in good company.
The route of the MX500 takes in parts of the Blue Mountains, the Central Tablelands, the Southern Tablelands and Southern Highlands passing through National Parks, State Forests, steep gorges including the awesome Abercrombie Gorge, ridgelines, farmlands and colonial settlements over freeways, A , B and sealed C roads out and back to the city after running two sides of the Bungonia Triangle.
