tried my local oneils in east maitland ordered some toyo r1r's
Just for 3 days later for him to say none in the state

I've found that buying from local tyre dealers in regional areas means that you're asked to pay 50-100% markups.

I mostly buy from the Sydney discounters now and get them freighted. Typically I budget about $100 extra for freight and local fitting. Occasionally I just drive to Sydney if I can find enough other reasons to make the trip worthwhile. Here's an example of reasonable tyres at good prices.
