Thanks for the read, great work. The dry polish residue on your lights and reflectors can be removed with a Babies quality toothbrush (SOFT) use a one way stoke/ flick action. Misa looks a treat.

I've tried going through the service manual but to no avail..

First step: Spark plugs. Don't buy fancy pants platinum-iridium-etc, jut normal copper plugs are fine (they're easier for the coil to spark from memory, they just don't last as long)
I just use the standard NGK plugs, $4 each or so.

Second step: plug leads, get some decent ones (top gun aren't decent ones, I've had some that were flocked after 1000km)

Third step: coil pack.

Don't just leap into a coil pack for a few hundred if $20 worth of plugs could have solved the issue (I change my plugs every 30,000km or so, I used to do them every 10,000km.... but that's because my car kept fouling them)

Whoops, well I just got Misa back from the workshop tonight. Coilpack replaced, problem solved!

There's slight stutter under 1.5grand rpm? But no more uber stutter and no more misfiring. Boxer engine virus solved! Fuel consumption should go back to normal. YAYAYYAYAYAYAYA

Future plans:

Dropping Misa off at workshop again soon for 5,000 minor service to ensure she's at maximum health. Also going to advance timing to 14 degrees for some moar mid-range power. Feeding her 98 octance since I bought her so might as well get some power geinzzzz from it.

Still waiting on my frame plates to come in from the US before I chuck on new plates. Can't wait! I'll be on the lookout for a relocated/offset number plate brackets; also for the new plates.

MX5 centre have good prices, and james (the owner) is a nice guy.
But he's not a fast man, if he has to order anything in be prepared to wait a while

You can make a plate bracket for under $10

A mate said he might have some aluminium that I can use, Bunnings only had galvanised steel and that seemed wayy too heavy.

Decided against the leads for now because atm I am so low on cesh monehz and she's running aiites for now.

Able to shift at 2k rpm with little to no stutter. Fuel savings cum at me (notrly)

The Alu bits are usually down the back of Bunnings in teh builder's supply area.
They come in a 1m length.

Just make sure the material you choose has enough strength to not fatigue. 3mm aluminium is rigid enough to not flex dramatically and seems to resist fatigue in a small application like a plate bracket.

I had a bracket made from 1.5mm steel and while driving the plate used to vibrate, eventually the metal fatigues at the mount and the plate fell off.

In update news; couldn't wait for my Stancenation frame plates to come in:

Called up Vicroads to change over my plates before I could stick dat sh*t to the car.

So many problems, just feel like taking a hammer to the guy's face..

The guy initially couldn't find my plates, then they were registered to another owner, then he cancelled my OLD plates.

I wanted to keep them under "retention" so I can sell Misa with her original OG school plates. But he cancelled them and told me to destroy the old plates. GAYUHHHHH

30 mins later all cleared up.

Headed outside to install my new pl4t3s yay! Recently, weather is pretty good. Will probs give her a wash, wax then "de-stall" the hardtop into the garage again.

BAM! New plates, so I got the UDSM/JDM styled and sized plates. They look so fake, no one be rockin' these bad boiz except meh. HUEHUEHUE

Now.. moving on to the rear plates. They had this plastic protection cover and these pins were a b*tch and a half to take off. My hands can't take this much dmg in one day.

Plates pls. Wad r u do1ng?

Srsly could only like pull them half way before my thumbs bled to death..

Size comparison. Out with the old (into my little storage box) and in with the NEW!

Oh.. I think I may have come across them then! Haha

I found some pre-bent L-brackets with pre-drilled holes but those were galv. steel.

Do you know if Vicroads will let you rego a car with Garden State plates?

ie: if I bought a set of garden state plates could I just rego a current car with them (obviously with the plates' previosu owner signing them over to me)

I have an old car that's nearly ready for rego, and the old green plates would loom perfect for it.

In the end he got my plates back for me so I don't need to "burn them in a furnance of death" i.e scrap them.

He said that when/if I sell the car and all I have to do is pay a small fee to get them re-transferred back on to the miata. So I assume that it'll be the same process(?)

So I had the day off today; just bumming around and shizz. Nek minnit get the bright idea to drive to Autobarn and just check out what's around.

Return home. Nek minnit this pops up on my door step.

About time m8! Took around a month to ship. Glad they're finally here, however I have already put on my plates. GAY!

Time to take them off at well.. put them back on again right?

Nope because now the screw's big-ass head doens't fit there only the screw shaft..

Taking the knife to the frame plates. Less than 1 hour of ownership and I'm already destroying the poor thangs..

All well and done.. till I get an offset bracket..
