With the HANS device I hope you have a proper seat and harness. The HANS won't work without harness and the harness won't work without a proper race seat. And the harness must be mounted properly and safely so it all works correctly.

The hans won't be used this round since my roll bar isn't going in until the day after, so no harness until then. By the lakeside round I'll have the bar, seat, harness and hans. For this round it'll just be seat and a better helmet than the $99 eBay one I bought for my first days, wanting to see if I wanted to keep racing before spending a fortune on a good one.

When was the last time a club day had passenger laps?

Passenger laps are at the discretion of qr not the club and if they do happen, it's at the end of the day if there is any time left over.
From memory, they had some dramas at other events that have pretty much canned them.

Dad and I will be there once again. Hoping new seats and harness arrive from the UK in time.

If you got them from Demon Tweeks Cal, it should take less than a week based on the stuff I have ordered from them.

I'm going through the pain of fitting a Sparco Pro2000 to the standard runners at the moment, so will hopefully be able to drive the car without having to brace myself with the wheel and right knee up against the door.

I might have to bite the bullet order the seat for the S14 and use the mounts for it in the Mazda. I will find out in about 30 minutes when the second rail is done and everything is ready to bolt back in. If I order tonight I should get them in time......

They're that quick posting from the UK? I figured the delivery time would be the only drawback to buying from them, since they're super cheap etc. If they're usually that quick, that's just one more reason to not buy locally.

And I just discovered, a Sparco Pro 2000 won't fit in a NA6 when trying to use standard mounts and not modifying anything but the mounting hole for the runner so I could do the track day swap out with seat and harness. Looks like they will be staying in the study until November so they can be fitted up in the S14 when the cage is done.

It's a poofteenth too wide to close the door without the shoulder rubbing and it is hard up against the transmission tunnel.

Unforeseen airfare to NZ has swallowed my cash flow, however I'm hoping to get enough birthday money to cover pay-on-the-day fees :P - but I won't know until the 7th :( I will be sorting out my CTP and helmet just in case.

If not, any idea when the next QR run will be? :)

January at the earliest, otherwise probably March. Get in on a general practice/sprint day if you miss out and don't want to go to Lakeside before QR.

Past two years it has been:

Lakeside - January
Lakeside - March
QR - May
Lakeside - July
QR - Septmeber
Lakeside - November

Not sure if 2014 has been decided as yet

Still numb and sore MattR but getting there, still to try helmet on
