Needs more boost ..
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Tien, it was involved in an accident/incident where it was damaged beyond repair. Can't remember if it was impact or fire or both.

Danny

Not at all Dave....inspiration indeed! :P

Makes we really, really want a 7-speed sequential behind the 20B.

Thanks Shane. 8)

Yes a sequential would be an awesome addition...but there's a few things I need to achieve first with the car....like actually driving it fast without scaring myself sh1tless!

So this is where the engine finished up....losts of room forward of the engine to control the airflow into the engine bay and for a decent radiator/oil combination heat exchanger unit.

Things were about to get exciting...so this happened...

The PP (peripheral port) rotor housings from Rohan @ Extreme Rotaries had arrived!

Here's a few photos of his handy work...

The extra tapped ports to the left of each of the spark plug holes is for additional coolant flow. This ensures that the rotor housing surface around the spark plug holes doesn't overheat causing the rotor housing surface to deform. This modification is recommended for use on rotary engines that will spend most of their life at high rpm.

These are the coolant distribution manifolds.

Pfft, with ports that size you will need HUGE cams for it to be worth it.

Nothing like the sound of a good PP rotor, especially on a 3 rotor!

Great work so far, eagerly awaiting to hear it idle and scream!

There's still a long way to go James. I'll be stoked if I could get it to the dyno before Xmas. As you know there's other projects due for completion in October that take priority.

Yes James, it will be interesting to see what power it makes at the wheels. I can't remember if I mentioned it before, but an earlier revision of this engine specification (owned by Peter McLeod of Slick 50 fame) made 520 flywheel horsepower on 888 Racing's engine dyno. So I've got high hopes that this donk will generate well over 400 rwhp.

Cheers,
Danny
