Plastidip Wheels

Postby sticky nicky » Thu Aug 15, 2013 8:04 pm

Hi Guys,

Thought I would put up some pics of my sons rims I just used Plastidip on. As you can see, the rims had an alloy rim that was pitted with the clear coat coming off. I used the black plastidip just around the edges after finding out about it on youtube. I think this product is great! Easy to use, only needed one can @ $30 to do 4 coats on the alloy.
My son thinks it looks great and can be peeled off at anytime if you get fed up of it. I may still do the centre caps black.
Shame its not an MX5

Anyone else want to share before and after plastidip pics?

Cheers :D

Not mine, I found these on MT.net (see http://www.miataturbo.net/media-53/plastidip-73833/):

The wheels were plasti-dipped matt black (5ish coats) and finished with 2 very light coats of copper metallic over top.

A cheap way of seeing how gold/bronze rims look on your black, green or red MX5 since you can still peel off the plasti-dip.
