Thanks mate, I know I can count on you!

Here's the fitted pic:

Shift feel is, well, different.

Makes the throw feel a lot longer, as the unit sits higher. Precise shifting is very easy now, and it's done by fingertip as they weight of the knob assists greatly.

Downside: Now I want a short shifter kit!

I do like the look though, will attack the boot height in the next couple of days, had other non-car projects on the go. :|

I plan on attending the detailing day too - good opportunity to try my long-angled SSK too if you want.
I may have SOME boost by then (either 3 or 5 psi, depending on how brave I feel testing the new EFR6258 on a stock engine).
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Excellent, thanks Simon & Stu - might be time for a new triplets shot!

Spent 5 hours on the car today - very slow with the rotary polisher still, but I think it turned out ok.

All good! I've stepped up to a rotary. Looking to get water etching & scratches out of the SP23, problem is seeing them when working in the shade... :frown:

Is that the alloy or steel version of that grill in the lower bumper opening?
I've already asked MINX and he said the version he had was steel......

Also, if it's not too much trouble, could you tell me how big the vetical gap is between each of the horizontal slats.

Thanks,
Nev

Hi Nev,

No problems, mine would be the steel version also - gap between the slats is approx 15mm.

Cheers

Hmmmm, that gap should work ok....... *schemes another, probably expensive, idea*

I've had it suggested that grilles on these cars are a very bad idea because they restrict the airflow too much and cause overheating issues.
I can see that happening with the more common mesh versions out there but this is a much more open design.....
Have you found any overheating issues with this grille?

I've had no issues with overheating - I bought the grille for both the aesthetic factor, but also to keep rocks out of the FMIC, most common road travelled is the Port Of Brisbane motorway, amongst many trucks...

Had a mate who had one on his car and he also had no overheating issues, he sold his car before moving to the US, but it had 50,000km on it and quite a few of those were track days.

Cheers
Pete

After seeing a post in the Recent Pics thread, I thought I'd give Bowden's Own Body Wax a go.

Wash, dry, wax, done. Back out into the sun and exclaim "Holy Crap!"

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.
