This probably has been answered before but i have no idea how the tyre sizing system works so i'm going to keep it simple
Will both of these fit on a NA6 (1990)?
1. 15" x 6.5" +42
2. 15" x 8.25" +0
Im hoping you say option two will fit cause i prefer these wheels over option 1
AND which one would you think would fill the guards the most without rubbing or anything else (not for stance or lowness, just for aesthetics
and no i haven't even looked into tyres yet but i want sport tyres or semi slicks? i was just going to take it down to a good tyre store and see what options i have to choose from

For starters, I'm pretty sure Google can tell you how wheel sizes work. It's not that complicated.
Basically, option 1 is a good standard-ish size for MX5's. Option 2 will need a decent guard roll and some extra camber at least, and then it depends on how low you're going. If you're planning on a "proper MX-5 sleeper" as your signature says then option 1 will give you better handling and a much more subtle look.
Edit: Oh, and do some research on tyres online. Don't just go and put on whatever the bloke at the local tyre place gets paid to sell you.

Also with the extra camber make sure your dampers, springs, bumpstops and ride height are suitable as the tyres may rub on the top of the wheel arch like this! This was on 15x7 6UL's running 205/50's with -2.5 camber. However this only happened when there was 2 people in the car taking a right corner at the grip limits of the tyres.
