I dont understand this (primarily) sydneysider attitude to modifying cars.

Its your love, your joy, the very reason you get up every day and go to work, but you dont want to drive more than 50km to have work performed.

I dont get it.

Haha well in all fairness, 50km in Sydney takes all day to drive :)

My point exactly, My stuff gets done by whoever can do the best job for me, taking everything including cost into perspective.

I am just a young bloke with a welder but my average fabrication customer comes from almost 200km away, even for 50 dollar jobs.

I figure if you wont put the effort in to go across town you probably dont care who does your work anyway, so why bother asking.

Not a specific stab at OP, its just my perspective and I hope others who feel the same, like above help people understand that GOING TO THE RIGHT PERSON IS WORTH IT EVERY TIME.

Deckspeed in Padstow would be my recommendation.
They are a forum sponsor so link to their web page at the bottom of the page.

From one C'towner to another.
Have you spoken to hm gem engines in Ingleburn.
Are you looking for performance build or just a reco?
If going performance, deck speed will be hard to match on quality, it won't be cheap, but if going fast was cheap we would all have one of his engines!
If its just a reco job your after call gem, they should be able to help out.
So lets go!

that's right is all about quality, and one should not be presumptuous about equating 'forum sponsor' with 'quality'. Actions speak louder than words.

Probably have a little bit of a vested interest/biased opinion here, but all of the work I've ever seen that my Dad has done is top notch and is regularly tested and proven on track, whether that be Deckspeed's own cars or that of their many customers.

Funnily we are also neighbours, i'm at Glen Alpine.

Little Decks dad built my SP engine after an unfortunate rod issue. He did a terrific job and its 10 time better now then before.
Daniel is a good guy and honest as they come. You won't find anyone better.
